Silent Sunday: Relay for Life at South Intermediate H.S., Broken Arrow, June 3, 2011

Posted on June 5, 2011June 6, 2011 by Red Dirt Kelly

Thank you to Mark Rusling, Melissa Davis and Preston Power of the Tulsa Digital Photography Group, for sharing their work this morning.  Our thoughts go out to all victims, survivors, families and friends of those affected by the vast number of cancers in the world.  May your Race bring you the Cure you are seeking. I had the opportunity to attend Relay for Life in Broken Arrow with a big group from my church (Immanuel Lutheran). These pics are great, and they really tell the story of what the night was all about, remembering and honoring those in their courageous fight with cancer. I was honored to be asked to read the long list of names who fought and are still fighting. It was a powerful experience, one I won’t soon forget!

Rob – that’s really cool to know you were there, reading all the names. I’ve greatly appreciated the Tulsa Digital Photography Group. They seem to be well organized and always seem to capture their moments well. So glad you were a part of the night’s event. KR
